Rest in Divine Peace

by | Poetry

Twelve years and you are no longer here

A part of me breaks while another rejoices

As you are free from the suffering

The tears come and go

But your absence is constantly felt

You are dearly loved and wholly missed

Your gift of teaching resounds in every bone of my body

Your teachings have been my greatest lessons

Your love and patience, the biggest of boons

A loss of this magnitude, I’ve never experienced

Though You are not with me in form, You remain in my every heartbeat

One day, I will feel Your energy in form again

An exceptional love I will feel

And thus, I will know

That to know You is to know Love

And to know Love

Is to be One with God

Rest in Divine Peace
