Frequently Asked Questions
I’ve never seen a spiritual life coach before, who/what/where/when/why?
Who: Goodness-of-fit is a term that’s often used in the coaching world. This means it’s important that your level of comfort and trust, and your goals are matched with my area of expertise, skills, and scope of practice. If you could benefit from a different type of service (e.g., mental/behavioral health therapy) instead of life coaching, that will be addressed during the first session. Life coaching is not mental/behavioral health therapy and is not a substitute for it.
What: Spiritual life coaching involves a series of different steps or discovery processes, including learning about your background, strengths, skills, challenges, and opportunities for growth. If we work together, my goal is to help you empower yourself in your own life by identifying roadblocks, giving you a trained eye and perspective on whether your beliefs are serving you, engaging in active reflection, and providing you with a sizable tool-belt of strategies to consider outside of our meetings. This will inherently look different for each client because coaching is not a one-size-fits-all process.
Where: Spiritual life coaching with me involves meeting through a video platform. This means we will have a secure two-way video session, ensuring your privacy and confidentiality.
When: The beauty of spiritual life coaching is that you get to choose the frequency of your sessions, based on session availability. Meeting for two sessions/month, for a total of 16-20 sessions can be effective in the process of growth and change.
Why: Usually people seek spiritual life coaching because there is something he/she/they would like to focus on or improve. This could range from general unease or dissatisfaction, to more specific matters, including engaging in more self-empowerment work, creative voicing, balancing work-life, enhancing self-care, improving communication with one’s partner, and most importantly, improving your relationship with your Self.
What do I need to meet online for coaching sessions?
You will need a smartphone and/or laptop/desktop with a functioning built-in webcam and microphone. In order to increase privacy, it’s strongly recommended to connect over your own private wi-fi network and use earphones during sessions. For better quality connection, an internet speed that is at least 30mbps is recommended.
How many spiritual life coaching sessions do I need?
I’m glad you asked. That’s up to you! I work on an empowerment model, which means you can schedule as many coaching sessions as you need, or as few as you want, depending on session availability. It’s helpful for us to have an open discussion about this to best serve you and your goals. In general, you might consider aiming for two sessions/month, for a total of 16-20 sessions.
Do you coach in-person, too?
No, all coaching is done online at the times listed on the Book a Session page.
